Course Overview
The NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing with Data Science is an Ofqual-regulated pathway within the second year of the NCC Education degree journey.
It is designed for learners interested in statistics, data, big data and extracting meaningful insights from information.

Qualification Structure / Units
- Mandatory specialist units – Artificial Intelligence, Business IT Project, Data Analysis and Visualisation with Python, and Introduction to Data Science and Big Data.
- Elective units – students choose two from Agile Development, Analysis, Design and Implementation, IT Project Management, and Professional and Career Development in IT.
Entry Requirements
- NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing, or a comparable local/international qualification agreed with NCC Education.
- Students whose first language is not English should meet English language requirements such as IELTS 5.5 or above, or complete the NCC Education Higher English Placement Test.
Assessment
Assessments are offered in cycles throughout the year. All units except the project are assessed by assignments and/or examinations.
