Course Overview

The NCC Education Level 3 Diploma in Business is an Ofqual-regulated Applied General qualification for learners developing transferable study skills and a grounding in business and economics.

The diploma can open progression routes into NCC Education Level 4 business study, university pathways or business-related employment.

Qualification Structure / Units

  • Core: Advanced Basics in Business (12 credits)
  • Core: Developing Financial Forecasting and Accounting in Business (20 credits)
  • Core: Developing Organisation Structure (20 credits)
  • Electives – learners choose additional units such as Developing Entrepreneurship, Marketing Practices, Communication in Business and Developing an eBusiness.

Entry Requirements

  • Learners should have completed GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels or an equivalent qualification and passed four subjects with minimum grades of C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
  • Suitable for candidates aged 16 and above, as well as older adult learners.
  • Students whose first language is not English should have IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, or complete the NCC Education Higher English Placement Test through an Accredited Partner Centre.

Assessment

Units are assessed by examination or assignments, with assessment opportunities during the year.

Academic Progression

Students can progress to the NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Business, equivalent to Year 1 of a UK bachelor’s degree, or explore wider university progression routes.
