Course Overview
The NCC Education Level 2 Certificate in Business is a well-rounded qualification that helps learners develop a stronger understanding of core business concepts and essential business skills.
It provides a practical foundation for further study or entry-level workplace readiness in business-related areas.
Qualification Structure / Units
- Basics in Business (6 credits) – introduces business functions and the internal and external factors that affect organisations.
- Leadership in Business (6 credits) – covers leadership concepts, ethical leadership and approaches to leadership practice.
- Introduction to Business Mathematics (20 credits) – develops key mathematical concepts used to support business operations and decision-making.
Entry Requirements
- Learners should be working towards GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels or an equivalent qualification and be predicted four subjects with minimum grades of C/4 or equivalent, including Mathematics and English.
- Suitable for candidates aged 14 and above, as well as older adult learners.
- Non-native English speakers should be able to meet the demands of study and assessment in English.
Assessment
Assessments are available in a number of assessment cycles during the year and units are assessed by assignments and/or examinations.
Academic Progression
Students who complete the certificate can progress to the NCC Education Level 2 Diploma in Business.
Accreditation Status
NCC Education is regulated by Ofqual to award the Level 2 Certificate in Business in England.
