The BEng (Hons) Software Engineering Top-Up is an online final-year degree route delivered by Western International College Online (WINC). It provides progression for learners who have already completed NCC Education Level 5 Diploma in Computing or an equivalent qualification. The final degree is awarded by the University of Greater Manchester.
Course Overview
This top-up programme builds on computing and software engineering knowledge gained at Levels 4 and 5. It helps students strengthen professional, technical and specialist IT skills while preparing them for employment in software engineering and related digital technology roles.
The course has been developed with industry relevance in mind. Students work with realistic scenarios, project-based activities and professional outputs such as technical proposals, reports and software development tasks. Entry Requirements
- NCC Education Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Computing
- ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Computing (Software Engineering)
- Qualifi Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology
- Pearson BTEC HND in Computing (Software Engineering)
- Applicants who have successfully completed two years of university study may also be considered for direct entry with advanced standing.
- Other equivalent qualifications may be considered by WINC Online and the University of Greater Manchester.
